Purpose Behind Driftwood Cross Art
CTC has been compelled to collect driftwood from the southern shoreline of Lake Michigan. Picking up this practice in the midst of summer 2017, he uses washed-to-shore material to create smaller scaled replicas of the symbolic tool of execution the Romans invented to put to death criminals, known more plainly as the cross, with simple notches & tie of a string. While in the process of building these, it has helped mature his faith which has brought about a much more clear profession that Jesus Christ the promised Messiah died on a cross, was placed in a tomb only to rise again from the grave the third day and is seated at the right hand of the LORD God Almighty, conquering all sin & death. He will return to claim all who have professed Him with their mouth and welcomed Him into their hearts upon word from His Father. God is blessing those that serve His Kingdom and our Savior's Holy Spirit resides within all who have been made new creations, having faith that in Himself is found life everlasting.
